Review by Jewishly:

Congregation Ohab Zedek is a traditional Orthodox Synagogue or Shul Located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. There is a great diversity of ages at this synagogue, from men in their teens to their 60s and 70s, which I appreciated. I went on a Saturday morning, and I was one of only a few women in the women’s section. There was a woman in her seventies as well as a woman in her early twenties. I appreciated the diversity of ages. I found the singing to be pretty good, and the congregation was deeply involved with the service and participating.

I would say that the women’s section is a little odd. It is in the back on the right hand side and is very small. I appreciated that the women section was well marked so I could find it never having visited here before. I understand that on a normal Shabbat this synagogue is not getting a ton of women visiting but it felt so removed from the service that it was a bit off putting. Overall, this is a fairly straight forward Orthodox Shul on the Upper West Side.
